I had the chance to go to my first writing conference strictly as an attendee this past weekend, and had a wonderful time. I went to workshops all day, and met some really wonderful people. The most exciting part, however, is that I pitched my book to two literary agents.
What does this mean?
It means a lot of being nervous, incessant foot-tapping, finger-shaking, and making weird noises to yourself in the car before composing yourself and speaking professionally to a literary agent for 10 minutes about your book, and learning very quickly whether they are interested in representing you or not.
